Note that the recipe doesn't mention creaming the shortening with the sugar, then mixing in the liquids, THEN the dry ingredients. Suffice to say that 3-4 minutes in the blender fixed the problem ;-)
ReplyDeleteMatt made cookies once that had no flour. He measured it out into a bowl and everything, just forgot to add it to the batter. The baking powder and soda got added though!
ReplyDeleteHe checked on them and told me they were running into each other. I told him that was ok, that happened sometimes (I thought they were too close together on the cookie sheet). Imagine my surprise when he took them out and they were a mess of goo with half melted chocolate chips.
We started again the next day after buying new chocolate chips. LOL
